The proposed budget is $1.7 million, up slightly over the last year's budget, according to White. He expects infrastructure needs and improving roads to draw discussion during the town meeting. Another item that may cause debate is not raising money for some charities that request annual donations, White said. Town officials are trying to keep expenses down to compensate for the rising energy costs and other increases beyond their control, he said.
