Advice on Minimum Limo Times..

Hiring a limousine can seem like a big investment and it can be an even bigger one if you don’t know exactly what you are hiring and for how long. While limo hire is of course a luxury, it doesn’t have to send you broke, so make sure you read all of the fine print in your hire contracts and know the exact fixed price before you even let the chauffeur open the door for you.

Many limo hire companies will have a minimum hire time charge and while they will tell you their per hour hire rates, they are likely to charge you the minimum hire time anyway, which is usually around three or four hours. Limo hire companies charge this block of time because of the time and effort it takes to prepare a limousine to go out. Time is spent by the chauffeur cleaning and polishing the limo to have it looking perfect before you are picked up and the chauffeur then has to spend time after dropping you off, cleaning the limo again.

Therefore, if you want to hire a limo for only a few hours, or for a one way trip to a friend’s house, you are likely to be charged a much larger block of time. So one you have established the minimum hire time of the limo hire company you are using, make sure you are happy with paying this amount.

If you want to make the most of the time you are paying for, plan your event or day accordingly. If you are hiring a limo to go to a friend’s party and plan to stay the night, hire the limo a little earlier and pick you friend up so you can both go to the store and get supplies for the party in the limo together.
